Still life “Oh Canada” is a sampler of a few of the important things in my life. My grandfather, Wesley Harper had a department store in Dawson Creek,BC which he sold to the Hudsons Bay co. in 1952. The Hudson’s Bay blanket has always been special. The Emily Carr book, which my mother sent me while I was away from home and homesick. I became a friend of Emily Carr as she took me back to my beloved west coast! My mother-in-law’s tattered apron which I repaired following her death. All set against a backdrop of my father’s Den of hand hewn fireplace, fur rug and the blessed wood fireplace.
